waiting game

I am waiting to hear back from school to see if I have been accepted.  They waived the application fee (!) for me, so I submitted my writing sample and application and am waiting on the transcript evaluators to get back to me to see if they will require the official transcripts before I send out the forms and payments for those.

Grrr!  I am just so bored at work, all I want to do is start school and get a move-on!

Oh, and in wedding-related news, we booked Tastings Caterers out of Framingham and our DJ through event-experience.com.  Really not much left to do except get the girls their dresses and make the invitations.  Oh, and my fat ass needs to disappear, but other than that…

epiphany

After ten years of wandering aimlessly through the workforce waiting to figure out what, exactly, I want to do with my life, career-wise, I stumbled upon it on this weekend.

My first go-round with college resulted in a major that was something I was good at rather than something I enjoyed.  So this time, I think I have figured a way to combine my creative nature and my love of science: Market Researcher!

I would be stupid not to jump on the abundance of downtime that my current job provides and what better way to fill the space than with learning!  Yay, learning!

 I am so excited.

q-u-a-k-e

Last night began my and Jeff’s scrabble obsession.  I won by four points (after trailing the whole game until i laid down ‘quake’ on a triple word score for 54 points!) and Jeff is demanding a rematch.  He has a show tonight, so Saturday be rematch city!

Watch out, Jeff!  You’re going DOWN!

monday night madness

I love Jeff.  We have been going through a rough patch the past few weeks and it has put a strain on both of us.  Last night I got home with the groceries and almost tripped over a neatly wrapped package.  He bought me a gift!  And wrapped it with wrapping paper and electrical tape!  It was the cutest thing I ever saw.  I have been begging him to play scrabble with me so he went out and got me a scrabble game.  Yay!

Last night, I also attempted making my very first Chinese food dish: Hong Kong Chow Mein.  What a hit!  It was delicious and easy and tasted like real chinese food.  Sadly, we had company, so no leftovers.  Oh well, I’ll just have to make it another time.

I am also exhausted today from staying up to watch the Red Sox win the division and to watch the Vikings secure our friend, Sean, an $1800 football pool victory.  Congrats to both!

Tonight we have a meeting with a prospective caterer to see what kind of proposal they can offer.  If you dont hear from me in a while, it is probably due to the fact that they are holding me hostage in their highway robbery.

 Have a good week everyone!
